Nutrition Diet for Dancers

I am a ballerina dancer who suffered form anorexia for three years and who is finally eating a healthy, nutrition diet. I always denied having anorexia every time that my friends and my parents confronted me telling me that I was too skinny. I kept up this harmful behavior for three years until I was so skinny I fainted at one of my dance rehearsals and had to be hospitalized for a week. I was banned from returning to the ballet academy until I gained weight and felt healthy again. At the hospital I met with a nutritionist who created a sports nutrition diet plan to get me back on track gain by satisfying my daily caloric needs and providing me all of the necessary vitamins, minerals, proteins, carbohydrates and fats. I have followed this plan for two months and I have gained a lot of muscle back and I am feeling energetic and strong enough to dance ballet.

My nutritionist told me that as soon as I gain five more pounds I can return to my dance academy and request that they take me back, for I would be at a health, stable weight for a girl my age and height. I don’t understand why I developed this eating disorder because I never wanted to look skinnier, I just gradually stopped eating but it wasn’t because I wanted to be thinner. I actually hated the way that I looked when I was super slim and when I was not eating enough, I looked like a dead person. Now that I have gained weight with my nutrition diet plan I look so good, I have curves again and boys are checking me out.
